AC/DC 'Touch Too Much'
What teenage boy of the 70's didn't want to be Angus Young when they grew up?
'Milk & Alcohol' Dr.Feelgood
I love this song. I heard it the other day on the radio and it really took me back to my school days. Brilliant band.
Babylons Burning
A Punk classic....... Introduced by a complete twat.
Kate Bush 'The Man The Child in His Eyes'
...'He's here'.......... Beautiful song which reminds me of being in the back of Dad's car on the way to our annual holiday to sunny Rhyl........... God she was fit and I probably did myself some damage over Kate during my teenage years.
Motorhead 'Bomber'
Class song from a class band. Another one I drove my old man mad with..........
Thin Lizzy 'Rosalie'
In 1978 I saw this Lizzy video on 'Cheggars Plays Pop' and this started my life long passion for the band. I rushed out and bought what is arguably the best live album ever recorded 'Live & Dangerous' and over the next few years drove my Dad to distraction by playing it at high volume constantly. I was lucky enough to see Thin Lizzy on several occasions the most memorable being in 1979 at Stafford Bingley Hall. It was December 18th, and there was a blizzard blowing and about a foot of snow on the ground. Myself and the other 8,000 fans gathered there were absolutely freezing as we queued outside waiting to go in but once inside and Lizzy hit the stage I was completely blown away......... A simply superb band. Sadly Phil Lynott passed away on January 4th 1986. He was quite simply my hero...........
The Skids 'Into the Valley'
A selection of songs that remind me of my youth.......
I have to dedicate this one to my younger brother who painted The Skids logo on his beds' headboard in green Airfix paint!... Mum and Dad must have loved that at the time. I never understood a word of this song but it rocked! .........
